The first studies of the Advanced Turkish Music Conservatory Association were carried out at the home of Hüseyin Sadettin Arel and in various places and started to work towards becoming an association towards the end of 1947. Concerts were organized with the group of meshk created and in May 1948, '' Advanced Turkish Music Conservatory Association '' was established by Ord. The association, which was founded to provide a serious conservatory education, has been given scientific lectures as well as traditional lectures, and has been subjected to theory-oriented, open and innovative education. In the meantime, until now, the difficulties caused by the not enough clear determinations of the '' theoretical expression of the Turkish Music '' has been avoided and made easily understoodable by the Arel- Ezgi-Uzdilek System "by establishing this system and by spreading.. For this reason, the scientific literature, which contains a significant gap in our music with a wide range of subject matter, has been published as the organizing publication of the music since March of 1948. Ethem Üngör, who contributed to the publication in many ways from the beginning of the 1960s, has been undertaking the publication of the Music Magazine.
Hüseyin Sadettin Arel gave high school students 'Harmony in Turkish Music', Haydar Sanal '' Turkish Music Theory '' during their academic year. In this period, "Nota, Solfege, Theory, Music History, Harmony, Counterpoint, Fugue, Music Analysis Prozodi, Orchestration and Instrumentation" courses were given at the association.
On the one hand, the Association has been working to keep the Turkish Music alive in its traditional form while encouraging the production of polyphonic Turkish musical works by staying faithful to the sound system of our music, many music contests were realized. From 1949 until recently, many radio programs alongside traditional repertoire are performed in television and stage concerts, which are continuing currently.
The association has been forced to relocate many times due to financial impossibilities, has not found any financial support, but has continued to remain active even with limited opportunities.
In the late 1960s, Teoman Önaldi and his colleagues gathered together again an education association home / local in the address Fatih Halıcılar Caddesi -73, Istanbul / Turkey, which was rented and settled in this period. This was bought and renewed in the period of Çetin Körükçü, who later undertook the choir management, and the association got its own space.
The names of the chorus choreographers are Laika KARABEY, Haydar Sanal, İrfan DOĞRUSÖZ, Hulki AKSOY, Rüştü ERIC, Feridun DARBAZ, İbrahim SEVİNÇ, Cevdet ÇAĞLA, Teoman ÖNALDI and ÇETİN KÖRÜKÇÜ since 1974 respectively.
